Linda Martinson earned a Ph.D. at Stanford University and two Master's degrees at The Ohio State University and Stanford University. She held positions as a professor at the University of South Carolina and Stanford University, and served as a vice president at Georgia Tech. Her final professional position was as the headmaster at The Galloway School, a private school with hundreds of students from preschool through high school. Linda also served on the Board of the North Carolina Arboretum for several years. The position at the Arboretum has been an exciting opportunity to learn about some of the most beautiful and botanically diverse plants in the Southern Appalachians.
